There's a lot to be said about Charli's work, which in the details has always contextualized her more as an indie artist than a "machine" pop-star. Even as her career has taken her onto the media-friendly mountain top. Highly recommend this Carlos Valladares essay on her mockumentary, as it addresses some of the tensions you get at: https://gagosian.com/quarterly/2026/05/18/essay-savor-the-moment-charli-xcx/

Lots to be said about YHWH Nailgun's sound too. Saw them every time they played in Bklyn for a while (2022-25), an absolutely detonating live act in the right (small-ish) environment. The Moog does a lot of the "WTF is that sound?" work in concert — hardcore, the next generation.
